Madrid and London, cities that offer sightseeing tours designed for people with disabilities.




Madrid is the city that offers more affordable prices for organized tours, is the unique that arranges visits and tours in Japanese, and is also the only place where there are views designed for people with physical, visual, auditory and / or intellectual.


This emerges from a comparative study undertaken by the Tourism Council of Madrid on how to organize such activities in nine cities across Europe and America (Madrid, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Seville and New York).


According to this study, Madrid and London are the unique cities of the analyzed that offer tours for people with physical disabilities, but only in Madrid there are also guided tours for people with physical, visual, auditory and / or intellectual disabilities.


The study shows that Madrid, near Barcelona, is the unique city among the cities analysed that has a program of visits organized by a public entity. Moreover, Madrid is the unique city where visits are conducted in Japanese.


Moreover, Madrid, Amsterdam and London are cities that offer tours specifically for children, being the Spanish capital the only one giving a theatrical tour for children, as well as storytelling and concerts focused to children.
